In September 2020, the Ford Bend History Association, in partnership with the George Ranch Historical Park in Richmond, launched the first unit of the Fort Bend Connection, a digital learning package for classroom teachers focused on Texas and Fort Bend County history. The full nine-month curriculum set, completed in summer 2021, is now available online and includes a podcast series, free educational videos, worksheets aligned with TEKS objectives, and rentable boxes that include hands-on historical activities.

History To Go is an eight-episode podcast series covering topics such as "Texas Colonization," "Events Leading Up to the Texas Revolution," and "Black Cowboys in Fort Bend County." Episodes are available on Spotify.

Plug Into History is an educational video series chronicling the history and cultures of Texas across nine units, beginning with "Texas Landscape and Early Explorers" and continuing through "Texas Revolution," "Texas as a Republic," "Cotton," and "Railroads." Each video unit is accompanied by corresponding worksheets and classroom activities.

History in a Box is a classroom learning kit available for teachers to rent. Each rental includes free downloadable TEKS-aligned worksheets and classroom activities.

All videos, podcast episodes, and worksheets are free to use and available to the public online.

This project was made possible in part by a grant from Humanities Texas.
